How to Adjust Subtitles in Movies to Synchronize with Video

Use software SubtitleEdit to adjust subtitles permanently. Its a freeware just google it.

• The only thing you have to do is to Note correct timings of two Dialogues in movie, one in starting of movie and other at the end of the movie. Now steps are explained below.
• You can open your subtitles in Notepad to ease your work. Just right click > Properties > (Open With) Change > Select Notepad. by doing this you can read lines with their timings and location according to their serial number.

 STEPS:

1. Run SubtitleEdit, click File > Open and browse for subtitles.


2. Click Synchronization > Point sync.

3. Double-click on dialogue line in starting of movie to which yo want to change timing. A dialogue box would open showing timing of the dialogue.



4. Type correct timing of Dialogue Line you noted earlier and click Set sync point. [Suppose correct timing is approx 1 minute and 37.5 seconds then type 00:01:37.500]

5. Now Double-click on dialogue line in the end of movie you noted earlier.



6. Type correct timing of Dialogue Line you noted earlier and click Set sync point. [Suppose correct timing is approx 1 hour 28 minute and 48.7 seconds then type 01:28:48.700]. Click Apply > OK.

7. Click File > Save as and Save as type SubRip.

Now play subtitles with your movie and they should work fine.
